Air Force Physical Test Calculator
Calculate your score for the Air Force Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) including the 1.5-mile run, push-ups, and sit-ups.
The Air Force PFA
The standard Air Force Physical Fitness Assessment consists of three components: a 1.5-mile run (cardio), push-ups (upper body strength), and sit-ups (core strength).
Scoring Breakdown
- 1.5-Mile Run: Worth up to 60 points.
- Push-ups: Worth up to 20 points.
- Sit-ups: Worth up to 20 points.
Passing Requirements
An Airman must achieve a composite score of 75 points or higher to pass. Crucially, they must also meet the minimum sub-component requirements in every single category. Even with a score of 80, if an Airman fails the minimum push-up standard, the test is a failure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there alternative exercises?
Yes, the Air Force has recently introduced alternatives, such as the 20-meter HAMR sprint in place of the 1.5-mile run, and hand-release push-ups in place of standard push-ups.
